Prerana is a 7 year old girl child from Rasuwa, Nepal, currently residing near Trishuli, a town in Rasuwa. Her father is paralyzed and can't walk or work. Her mother works to provide for the family. Prerana has a big brother, age 13 who is blind. Their home was destroyed by the Nepal Earthquake in 2015 and they are living in a temporary shelter made out of zinc. Prerana is unable to go to school because she has to take care of her brother and her father which is too much for her to manage at such a young age. Prerana needs financial sponsorship to be able to go to school and her family needs additional support for food and for the caregiving of her father and brother. Prerana in English means inspiration.
