Yashika is smiley, fluent in English and a hard working girl. She graduated from school in April. Her father died due to throat cancer when she was 6 years old and her mother lives in a small hut near the bank of the river. Yashika is spiritually strong, loves the lord and often fasts and prays. She was brought to the orphanage in Urlabari when she was 7 years of age. She has been faithful in all things and needs sponsorship as she is starting college this August 2024. The orphanage is designed to keep children up to graduation, but girls like Yashika have no place to go after. If she finds a sponsor, she can stay in the orphanage along with her younger sister and go to college from there. She will be safe, have family, a home and church. If she goes out of the orphanage at this age without proper life skills, experience and protection, she could end up anywhere.
